Merry Christmas!
It is the season of giving. Giving to family and friends, as well as charities and organizations. Rotary is the fifth most influential organization in the world, largely based on its giving. Our chapter is no different. We are known for our college scholarships distributed in June but we have other projects that help those in our community: Forest Rose Christmas party, dictionaries for elementary students, as well as other requests we receive each year.
We are working on our club’s first reverse raffle/silent and live auctions so we can raise more money to make a greater positive impact in our community. This promises to be a fun event that could potentially bring more than $15,000 to our group. But we need your help. We will be distributing information and requests at meetings to keep us up-to-date. The first small survey will be Dec. 4. We need your help in finalizing the date and possible theme or name for the event. Please let us know your thoughts and suggestions. This is a project for our entire membership and there will be many ways in which to get involved. Once the date is set, please help us get people to save the date – not just our members, but friends, family and business associates.
Thank you and Merry Christmas!
